Updatehosts

Updatehosts is a system for managing the BIND DNS server. Features include:

• Zone file info stored in a normalized relational format
• Automatic generation of all DNS zone files including the in-addr.arpa zones
• Automatic generation of the BIND V4 or V8 configuration files
• Support of all BIND V8 options
• Flexible include processing allows manual editing of complex BIND configuration stanzas
• Secure BIND and DHCP restart/reload programs for process management without requiring explicit root privileges
• Support for ISC DHCP server configuration file

Updatehosts requires Perl 5 and an ANSI C compiler.
